I can’t recommend The Mortgage Hut highly enough, especially my broker Natalia, who has been absolutely fantastic from start to finish. From the very beginning, Celeste (the appointment setter) was brilliant - she managed to arrange a same-day call with Natalia, which felt almost impossible after I’d contacted countless other mortgage firms and struggled to even get a response. My case was far from straightforward. It involved using commission income and lodger income, as well as raising capital on my 12th floor leasehold penthouse - something many lenders seem reluctant to deal with. On top of that, my goal was to raise funds from my residential property to purchase a second buy-to-let, which other brokers simply weren’t interested in pursuing. However, none of this phased Natalia. From our first conversation, she was positive, proactive, and clearly determined to find a solution. She approached multiple lenders and worked tirelessly to secure the right fit for my situation. Most importantly, she really listened to my goals and understood exactly what I was trying to achieve. After months of getting nowhere with another broker, I decided to switch - and within just one month of my initial call with Natalia, I received my mortgage offer from Santander. Natalia made what could have been a very stressful process feel smooth and manageable, and thanks to her expertise, my plans have finally become a reality. I’d also like to mention Nichola, the mortgage administrator, who was consistently professional, efficient, and quick to respond throughout the process. EDIT: I left a good review of 5 stars at first but after I paid the final payment, before the final documents where done i now find my self in a supper uncomfortable situation where no one at the office is picking up and no one is responding to emails. I am being told that it all now waits and is being delayed because the mortgage hut is not responding. Trying to get in touch for about a week now. So to go from being incredibly helpful and would respond with in a few hours to now being un reachable it's worrying and upsetting. I am getting emails from the seller and solicitor informing me "I have followed up with The Mortgage Hut regarding your mortgage offer as we still haven’t received it, and it appears that Natwest/The Mortgage Hut have issued it to an Solicitors in London (not us). They are making the changes on their system and will have the offer issued to us asap but I don’t yet have any of your mortgage information."

Very friendly advisor but got figures wrong on both interest rates available and amounts we needed to borrow. Interest rates were only slightly wrong but amount needed was out by over 100k. As I said very nice person and confident but not great with the numbers! Had I not spotted the error and challenged we would have assumed we could borrow far more than allowed and have serious issues further down the line.

Fiona has been so helpful and is really easy to talk too. She understood exactly what I was looking for in a mortgage and we’re just progressing the application now.

I have recently completed the purchase of my first home. Oliver was extremely helpful, professional and informative when assisting with my mortgage application. Everything was broken down and explained to me clearly which was extremely beneficial as someone going through the process for the first time. I received my decision in principle in a quick time frame allowing me to begin placing offers on properties of interest. I also received assistance from Nicola who again was very helpful throughout. I was constantly kept updated during the application progress. Any changes to my application were completed with no issues and no question was a silly question! This was my second experience of the Mortage Hut. The first time they had been very good and secured me the mortgage I needed in the midst of the Covid crisis. This time round they have performed just as well and then some, with David Io putting time in outside of hours to successfully secure for me a great mortgage rate quickly while mortgage rates were beginning to change because of the escalating America-Iran conflict and its consequences on inflation. I highly recommend these guys, it's been really worth using them as a broker rather than trying to sort things out myself. Overall both cost, time and stress saving.
